Joyeux Noel / Merry Christmas (DVD)
What it's about: Based on actual facts, during world War I, the Germans, French, and Scottish on Christmas Eve are trying to make peace, so they bury their deads and play football.
What I thought of it: What a movie! EVERYBODY should see this! I watched it on Friday and again on Sunday! Love it! It will now be a movie I will watch every Christmas! It is the type of movie that gives you goosebumps. It is now your usual war movie. It has humor, tears and most of all it shows that we are all the same...

My favorite scene/quote:

If you want to watch only one movie during the holidays - THIS is the ONE!!!
Ice Age: The Meltdown (DVD)
What it's about: Diego, Manny and Sid this time around are facing the fact that the Ice Age is over and everything is starting to melt. Their valley will be destroy and they should evacuate.
What I thought of it: Not bad at all for a sequel. The humour is still quite present and good. I liked it too!
My favorite scene/quote:
As you see the animals (in couplees or families) moving out of the valley:
Mr. Start: Oy, this global warming is *killing* me!
Mrs. Start: This is too *hot*, the Ice Age was too *cold*, what will it take to make you happy? Aah!
[the ice that she is sitting on cracks and she falls into the water]
Mr. Start: *This* I like!
After Manfred meets Ellie, a female mammoth (Queen Latifah):
Manfred: So, still think she's the girl for me?
Sid: Sure. She's tons of fun, and you're no fun at all. She completes you.

Also a very good rental, you should watch it - funny and grea rendition!
Ice Age (DVD)
What it's about: Set during the Ice Age, Diego a sabertooth tiger (Denis Leary), Sid the sloth (John Leguizamo), and Manfred, a wooly mammoth (Ray Romano) find a lost human infant, and they try to return him to his tribe.
What I thought of it: It was such a pleasant surprise. The humour was very good and I honeslty truly enjoyed it.
My favorite scene/quote:
Manfred talking to Sid: If you find a mate in life, you should be loyal. In your case, grateful.

Happy Feet (Theater)
What it's about: The story of Mumble (voiced by Elijah Wood) a penguin born with happy feet instead of a signing voice, which he needs to find his soul mate.
What I thought of it: We had been waiting to see it for a long time, and it was soooooo worth it! The soundtrack is really good, the fur rendition is amazing and the story is interesting. It touches upon topics of current events such as polution, environmental issues, commercial fishing. Despite its cutenest, it is not really a film for young kids - there are a few scenes that are scary. Robin Williams is once again, stealing the show.
My favorite scene/quote:
Ramón (voiced by Robin): [in response to Mumble's horrible singing] Yeah, I heard an animal once do that, but then they rolled him over and he was dead.

That's one movie that we will get on DVD once it comes out.

Supernatural - Season One - 32 episodes (DVD)
What it's about: After the mysterious disappearance of their father, two brothers Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) seek out and combat paranormal and supernatural events to figure the meaning linking their mother's death whom was killed years earlier by a malevolent poltergeist. (IMDb's)
What I thought of it: I had seen some episodes here and there, and since I enjoyed the two main characters (Jensen used to play in "Days of Our Lives" and Jared in "The Gilmore Girls" among other things), cute guys and the story line, a bit like the X-Files.
My favorite scene/quote: Too many to mention. Lots of fraternal teasing that makes it intersting and funny.

Worth watching, especially if you enjoy "supernatural" things!
